Free Features

  • Basic habit tracking (limited to 1 habit)
  • Simple reminders
  • Basic analytics (7-day history)
  • English language support
  • 1 month data retention
  • Ad-supported experience

Premium Features (Subscription Required)

  • Up to 100 Habits (prevents overwhelm, promotes focus)
  • Advanced reminders and analytics
  • Multi-language support
  • Extended customization options
  • 6 months data retention
  • Ad-free experience
  • Priority support

3. User Accounts

Account Requirements

  • Account Creation: Account creation is optional
  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old
  • Parental Consent: Users under 18 must have parental consent
  • Age Verification: We may request age verification at any time
  • Account Security: You are responsible for account security
  • Accurate Information: You must provide accurate information

Minor Users (13-17 years old)

  • Parental Oversight: Parents/guardians should monitor app usage

4. Subscription Terms

Premium Subscription

  • Monthly subscription through App Store
  • Payment processed by App Store
  • Auto-renewal unless cancelled

Subscription Management

  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime through device settings
  • Cancellation Process:
    • iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → My Life Habit → Cancel
  • Effective Date: Cancellation takes effect at the end of current billing period
  • Grace Period: Premium features remain available until subscription expires
  • No Partial Refunds: No refunds for unused portions of subscription period

Refund Policy

  • Refund Processing: All refunds handled by App Store
  • Refund Eligibility: Subject to platform refund policies
  • Refund Timeline: Platform-dependent (typically 48-72 hours)
  • Refund Contact: Contact platform support directly for refunds
  • Our Role: We do not process refunds directly

Subscription Changes

  • Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice

Your Rights

  • Purpose: Prevents overwhelm, promotes sustainable habit formation
  • Psychology: Research shows up to 100 habits is optimal for maintaining focus and preventing decision fatigue

User Experience Guidelines

  • Focus: Encourages users to prioritize their most important habits
  • Sustainability: Prevents cognitive overload and habit abandonment
  • Success: Promotes higher completion rates and long-term engagement
  • Upgrade Path: Clear progression from 1 to up to 100 habits

17. Advertising and Data Retention

Advertising (Free Users Only)

  • Ad Display: Free users will see advertisements within the app
  • Ad Networks: We use third-party ad networks to display relevant ads
  • Ad Data: We may collect anonymous data about ad interactions
  • No Ads for Premium: Premium subscribers will not see any advertisements
  • Ad Preferences: Users can manage ad preferences in device settings

Data Retention Policy

Free Tier

  • Habit Data: Retained for 1 month from last activity
  • Account Data: Retained while account is active
  • Inactive Accounts: Data automatically deleted after 1 month of inactivity

Premium Tier

  • Habit Data: Retained for 6 months while subscription is active
  • Account Data: Retained while account is active
  • Inactive Accounts: Data deleted after 6 months of inactivity

Data Deletion

  • User Request: Data deleted within 30 days of deletion request
  • Account Termination: Data permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Export Option: Users can export their data before deletion

18. Apple App Store Compliance

Apple App Store Requirements

  • App Tracking Transparency: We comply with Apple's ATT framework for any tracking activities
  • In-App Purchases: All premium subscriptions are processed through Apple's payment system
  • App Store Guidelines: We adhere to all Apple App Store Review Guidelines
